Open to JHS 5th Grade Students Only Together with our PTA, John Hill School is excited to announce that the award-winning entrepreneurship program, known as TREP$, is coming to our school for our fifth grade students! This program encourages creativity and reinforces the positive characteristics that we strive to instill in our students everyday; focus, determination, teamwork, communication skills, and good, old-fashioned hard work. If you decide to sign your students up for this program, they will receive workbooks that show them how to research ideas and start their own businesses. The workbooks explore areas in product development, finance, marketing research, advertising, merchandising and salesmanship. The goal for every student is to think outside the box and create a product based on their interests. In addition to the workbooks, we are offering a workshop on Thursday, February 20th afterschool until 5:30 PM through the after school programming at JHS. At this workshop, students will be working through their workbooks and diving a little deeper into these lessons with our TREP$ team made up of volunteers through the PTA. There are 40 spots available for this workshop. Please note that the workshop is not necessary to attend to participate in this program. Please follow the link above to register for the workshop. As a reminder, the workshop is limited to 40 children. Finally, all students that are signed up for this program can attend the final component at our first JHS TREP$ Marketplace which will be happening on Thursday, March 27th from 6:30-8:30 PM so save the date! Students can come as vendors to sell their goods to real consumers for real money. Students will learn that with passion and the right skill set, they can be successful entrepreneurs. These same skills will ensure success in virtually any path they choose. We look forward to this valuable opportunity for our students. To register, click the After School Enrichment Link above. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Get in TouchIf you have any questions about programs we offer feel free to contact us.
